    Culinary Tour A La Millennials (An Exploratory Study in Ubud)

    Ubud as one of the wellknown tourists’ destinations in Bali Province, currently is developing the potency on culinary for tourism. Nowadays Ubud is also becoming the interests of millennial tourists to visit. Millenn ial tourists represent 27 % of the global population or around 2 billion people. On average, they take 35 days of vacation each year with the typical of preferring experience the most. Therefore, this research is designed by exploratory study approach and the aims are to analyze and identify the interests of millennial tourists to visit Ubud for the purpose of tasting and enjoying culinary for the sake of tourism. Primary data is collected using semi-structured interviews with respondents as many as 30 (thirty) millennial visitors or tourists in Ubud. Through a descriptive method with a qualitative approach, this research explores millenials’ thoughts and motivation of culinary tourists in Ubud. For the result, this study indicates millennials tourists’ respondents have a high interest in culinary tours.  Ubud is considered to offer a large selection of local culinary delights of good taste and quality; calm, comfortable, and nice view and atmosphere; and is a favorite destination for tourists. Sources of information about culinary tours in Ubud are recommendations from friends / relatives and social media. This study also includes exploratory observations regarding the food menu, location, facilities, and security in Ubud District. For wider perspectives on culinary tours a la millennials, further research is encouraged in other areas and interests

    Generation Z Travel Behaviour and Changes in Travel MicroTrends

    Travel behaviour will drive a trend in the tourism industry. Microtrends are fast-moving trends that impact destinations, hotels, attractions, and other businesses in the travel industry. Travel behaviour changes based on several factors; one of these factors is generation. These changes will occur as Gen Z travel patterns continue to evolve.  This study aims to answer the characteristics, travel behaviour, and how the travel microtrends of Gen Z in Bali shape the present and future. The research method used qualitative with an exploratory study approach. Literature reviews, observations, and interviews are used to collect data. This study found that Gen Z will prioritise health factors, both environmental and mental health in the future. The study also found that Gen Z favours sustainable accommodation.Perilaku perjalanan akan mendorong suatu tren dalam industri pariwisata. Tren mikro diidentifikasi sebagai tren yang hanya berlangsung dalam jangka waktu cepat dan memengaruhi tujuan, hotel, atraksi dan bisnis lain dalam dunia perjalanan. Perubahan perilaku perjalanan ini didasari oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya adalah faktor generasi. Perubahan ini akan berlangsung seiring pola perjalanan Gen Z yang terus berkembang.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjawab seperti apa karakteristik, perilaku perjalanan, serta bagaimana tren mikro perjalanan dari gen Z di Provinsi Bali yang terbentuk di masa kini, dan masa depan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi eksplorasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan studi literatur, observasi, dan wawancara. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa di masa depan para Gen Z sangat mengutamakan faktor kesehatan, baik itu kesehatan lingkungan, maupun mental.     Analysis of Tirta Empul Development Strategy as Wellness Tourist Attraction in New Normal Era

    The Covid-19 pandemic is a very dangerous epidemic that affects the order of human lives around the world. The existence of the Covid-19 pandemic has made everyone without exception have to be able to adapt to the new life order or new normal era in accordance with health protocols. In this new normal era, many people have begun to take short, cost-effective trips and tend to seek pleasure and health simultaneously to reduce boredom and stress when forced to stay at home during lockdowns. One of the tourism trends that is coming back is Wellness Tourism. The current trend of Wellness Tourism is one of the options for restoring the passion of tourism in Bali Province which will encourage public interest in travelling. Tirta Empul is one of the tourist attractions that have the potential to support wellness tourism as a Wellness Tourist Attraction. This research was conducted in Tirta Empul which aims to analyze development strategies related to the wellness tourist attraction. This study uses data processing analysis carried out by SWOT through an analysis process of internal factors (IFAS) and external factors (EFAS). The results showed that the Grand Strategy obtained in this study is the S (Strength) - O (Opportunity) Strategy, so that there are opportunities to develop Tirta Empul as a Wellness Tourist Attraction in a New Normal Era

    Comparison of User Experience between Goal-directed and Experiential Users on Customer Satisfaction in Tourism Marketplace

    This research aimed to examine the effect of user experience on Pigijo’s website www.pigijo.com on Pigijo customer satisfaction by using an experimental study and comparing between two different groups of user behavior, namely goal-directed and experiential. The experiment was conducted using an accidental purposive sampling technique on 60 respondents divided into two groups based on user behavior. The data collection of this experiment used a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, then carried out various tests and analyses such as descriptive analysis, t-test, and regression tests. As a result of the research. It was found that the user experience on the www.pigijo.com website has a positive relationship and influence on Pigijo customer satisfaction, where the goal-directed group has a higher average rating (69.40%) and affects customer satisfaction more positively compared to the experiential group (65.50%)

    How Did Tour Guide Survive during the Covid-19 Pandemic? A Study on The Roles of Self-Efficacy and Organizational Commitment among Tour Guides in Bali

    Tour guides are a fundamental part of the tourism industry, which has been seriously affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Tour guides are expected to find alternatives to survive because of fluctuations over 50% decline in tourism. The pre-pandemic and post pandemic times have significantly impacted the employment of tour guides including those in Bali. In this  disruption period, how did tour guide manage to survive? This quantitative research aims to understand the survival mechanism of tour guides by examining whether self-efficacy has a relationship with the organizational commitment of active tour guides in a travel agency in Bali, especially when mediated by job satisfaction. This research uses Structural Equation Model Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) technique to analyze the research problem. The population in this study were active tour guides in a travel agency in Bali. The sampling technique uses a saturated sample. Direct hypothesis analysis found that: (1) Self-efficacy has a significant positive relationship to organizational commitment. (2) Self-efficacy has a significant positive relationship to job satisfaction. (3) Job satisfaction has a significant positive relationship to organizational commitment. Indirect hypothesis analysis found (4) Self-efficacy and organizational commitment have a significant positive relationship mediated by job satisfaction. Age and gender as control variables have no relationship to organizational commitment. It can be concluded that self-efficacy and organizational commitment can help tour guides to survive in challenging period.
